About Us

Few footwear stories begin quite like K-Swiss. In 1966, two Swiss brothers moved to California and combined their experience with ski footwear and their interest in tennis to create a new kind of tennis shoe. The result was the K-Swiss Classic, an all-leather tennis shoe that helped establish the brand's visual identity and eventually became just as recognizable away from the court.

Six decades later, K-Swiss continues to develop footwear around the movement and culture of racquet sports. The current US assortment includes tennis shoes for men and women, with performance models such as the Ultrashot 4 and Hypercourt Express 3. The brand also provides court-specific shopping options and has expanded its presence into pickleball and other active categories.

The heritage side of K-Swiss remains equally important. The Classic, Gstaad and other archival-inspired styles bring the clean lines and recognizable five-stripe identity of earlier K-Swiss footwear into modern wardrobes. The company's 60th anniversary collections further revisit historical designs while introducing updated materials, construction and contemporary styling.

Performance innovation is another part of the brand's evolution. K-Swiss introduced Tubes cushioning technology in 2010, while today's performance footwear focuses on the demands of modern court play, including movement, lateral support and responsive cushioning. The result is a collection that connects the company's heritage with the practical requirements of current athletes.

K-Swiss has also grown beyond footwear. Its current US website features men's and women's tennis apparel alongside active and lifestyle categories. This combination allows the brand to serve multiple sides of the consumer experience—from competitive court sessions and pickleball games to training, casual outfits and heritage sneaker styling.
